Exploring Colour!

In this micro-lesson, we have a mission: to give colour to a colourless sculpture. But which colour would fit? We set out to find the right shade, mood and expression at Nationalmuseum, Sweden´s museum of art and design, in the interactive exhibition Colour!

In this lesson, we explore:

• How colours are made from pigments, both today and in the past

• Colour mixing with paint

• How colours are created by light on screens

• Colour mixing with light

• How colours affect us

• Artists who use bold colours in sculpture

The micro-lesson COLOUR was filmed at the Nationalmuseum in Stockholm. The exhibition Colour! is open until August 2029 and is suitable for children and their curious adults. Admission to the exhibition is free, and school classes are warmly welcome.
